Marcus Perez

President, Altera Digital Health

As President of Altera Digital Health, Marcus Perez currently oversees all facets of a global healthcare IT software company that provides solutions for hospitals and health systems, as well as large physician practices. Marcus leads Altera Digital Health with a vision to make digital healthcare better every day by focusing on the Harris Core Values, driving to build an enduring organization. Ensuring Client Success, delivering flawless projects, and building products that drive stakeholder value, are the main priorities across Altera.

Marcus joined Harris in 2012 and has held numerous leadership roles within the Public Sector and Healthcare Groups. Prior to assuming the role at Altera, Marcus was an SEVP/Portfolio Leader within the Harris Healthcare Group, overseeing several business units serving hospitals in the OR, Critical Care, data analytics, maternity, and cost center areas, along with the LTPAC space. Marcus has been an EVP for multiple businesses with a track record of improvement post-acquisition, as well as serving in sales leadership.

Marcus is a 1989 graduate of West Point and a Veteran, having spent more than a decade in the military as a helicopter pilot and instructor. He is an avid basketball coach and holds a Master’s Degree in Education, along with an MBA.

John Mayr

An accomplished high-energy leader with a proven ability to execute successful global business growth, organizational transformation and business transformation IT programs, John has been with Altera for more than 10 years. His special expertise in leadership, operations, supply chain design, change management, vendor contract implementation and employee engagement has enabled him to execute a consistent record of energizing and inspiring teams, and improving both profitability and service levels. A collaborative executive with excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as leadership acumen, John is drives a culture of accountability and ownership to improve employee engagement, as well as client and business outcomes.

Jay Adams

Group Leader, Managed Services, Paragon and Ventus

A senior business and technology leader with more than 15 years of customer-facing experience delivering sales, professional services, technical support and customer success to various healthcare organizations, Jay has a proven track record of implementing business strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability, enable customer success and build enduring organizations. At Altera, Jay leads a global team of more than 2,100 individuals working every day to help hospitals and health systems support their infrastructure, applications, revenue-cycle, project delivery, strategic leadership and planning. Prior to his career in vertical market software, Jay served several years in the United States Navy. He’s obtained a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Information Technology.

Mark Bruno

Executive Vice President, Paragon®

With more than 16 years in the healthcare IT space, Mark has extensive experience working with providers and hospital executives on strategic growth initiatives. He leads the Paragon business unit with oversight of R&D, product management, services, support and sales. Having traveled to more than 100 hospitals across the country, Mark is keenly aware of the community healthcare environment and the pressures that independent hospitals face. He firmly believes that enabling excellent patient care should be the central drive of healthcare technology, and that hospitals can achieve their clinical outcomes while still maintaining fiscal responsibility. Mark enjoys the opportunity in his role to constantly learn and evolve, and to utilize that growth to help advance our solutions to improve outcomes for Altera clients.

Ben Scharfe

Executive Vice President, TouchWorks®

A seasoned leader in the healthcare technology sector, Ben has dedicated more than ten years to fostering growth and innovation at Harris and Altera. His expertise spans financial leadership, client support and executive management, contributing to Harris’ robust expansion, including the successful acquisition and integration of numerous entities. Currently leading TouchWorks EHR, Ben champions the adoption of AI and innovation with the purpose of enhancing patient-provider interactions and patient outcomes. Ben strives to be consistently grounded in humility and willingness to listen and learn, in deep alignment with Harris’ core values.

Kevin Ritter

Executive Vice President, dbMotion

As an experienced digital health leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning electronic health records, population health management, consumer health and data analytics throughout the healthcare industry, Kevin leads The dbMotion Solution team. Utilizing technology in the healthcare setting and in business development opportunities, Kevin’s expertise is in operationalizing technology and services for large, complex, Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College. He is married with three children and enjoys running, golfing and chasing his kids around the ski mountain.

Melissa Adams

Executive Vice President, Ventus

A seasoned healthcare IT executive with 22 years of experience in the industry, Melissa excels in P&L management, strategic planning and solution-driven strategies. She leads the Ventus team with a track record of decisive decision-making and a talent for coaching leaders in defining core metrics, assessing market intelligence and setting strategic goals. Her interest in Health IT was sparked in a role as a technology installer, ensuring these programs were moving as fast and efficiently as possible. This is still relevant to Melissa today as she problem-solves to serve clients, so they can best support the communities they serve.

Rachael Fox

Executive Vice President, UK and EMEA

Rachael joined the Client Development team in 2016, having previously worked in the NHS for more than 19 years on transformation and innovation programmes, including the deployment of the Sunrise™ EPR. She was selected to lead the UK and EMEA business in 2023 following her role as Vice President for Client Success and Support internationally, and since then Rachael has been championing an alternative approach to digital transformation in healthcare, which includes supporting NHS organisations to become some of the most digitally mature in the world. With her deep expertise regarding NHS and her passionate, empathetic and enthusiastic leadership, she is driving meaningful, lasting change for the NHS.

John Lee-Bartlett

Country Director, Canada

Originally from the UK, John has a 20-year growing passion for healthcare transformation. Having worked for many years in the NHS and then for leading healthcare IT companies, he provides a clear and passionate approach to improving the ways healthcare IT can enable clinical transformation. For the last several years, John has worked in Canada providing leadership across the Altera business for existing clients and growing the business to provide innovative solutions to organizations and patients.

Todd Haebich

Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific (APAC)

Over the years, Todd has held various senior positions in multinational healthcare IT companies over the world, overseeing Asia Pacific, including focused efforts in the Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and South Korean markets. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Applied Science, Medical Biophysics and Instrumentation. Over Todd’s career, his strength in enterprise healthcare IT and business management has enabled him to spearhead sales, marketing, solutions and implementation teams to achieve multimillion-dollar revenues, which has led to high levels of customer satisfaction, company growth and expansion and increased company performance. Since joining Altera Digital Health, Todd’s focus has been in Australia and New Zealand and is instrumental in supporting clients’ digital health journeys with active Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution deployments across both South Australia and Victoria, Australia.
